What we learn to do, we learn by doing”

"All of the top achievers I know are life-long learners... looking for new skills, insights and ideas. If they're not learning, they're not growing...not moving toward excellence."

-Denis Waitley

“The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.”

Learner Folio

The links in this learner folio represent a collection of the coursework I have completed while a doctoral student at St. John’s University.  These pages reflect readings, applications to education, projects and personal reflections.

An important role in my journey as an educator is to actively seek to be a life-long learner.  A life-long learner has many attributes, including:

  • Knowledgeable person with deep understanding

  • Complex thinker

  • Creative person

  • Effective communicator

  • Participant in an interdependent world

  • Reflective and self-directed learner

One of the most important goals I have for myself is to remain a life-long learner, always seeking out knowledge and learning about myriad ideas and approaches to the various offerings life presents to me on my journey.
